Dots

A typeface made from CSS code that emulates the feeling of colorblindness.

My first inspiration came from wanting to explore a typeface that explored disability. As I browsed through colorblindness charts I wanted to create a typeface system that could play with the colorblindness colors that certain eye conditions would prevent some from seeing. By creating a modular system and pattern I was able to code a system that created a uniform typeface that resembled dots that were simliar to color blindness tests.
The mouse cursor when hovering over certain colors would hide parts of the letterform, therefore changing the meaning of the letter. Such as turning a “Q” letter into an “O.”
